This will be the 20th Maine’s final battle event for the 2026 season.  The very scenic site in Yelm, WA is a great setting for the weekend battle event.  The Washington Civil War Association will be joined by our Oregon neighbors, The Northwest Civil War Counsel.  As a combined event, our numbers will be greater and we will have larger battle scenarios.  For more information regarding the event, visit the WCWA.net website for information regarding location/times and costs to attend.

Dr. Curt Fields will be our special guest for this event.  Dr. Fields is a nationally recognized General U.S Grant impersonator and will be talking about General Grant.  Dr. Fields has written about General Grant for those who are interested in purchasing a a copy of his book at the event.  The book is entitled “Unconditional Surrender .  Ulysses S. Grant in the Civil War.”  We are very grateful to Dr. Fields for taking the time to come and enhance our weekend battle event.
